WaterTribe Classes:
Class 1 - Expedition Kayaks and Canoes
Class 2 - Racing Kayaks and Canoes
Class 3 - Sailing Kayaks and Canoes
Class 4 - Small Sailboats - (2001-2008) monohulls, cats, tris
Class 4 - Monohull Sailboats - (As of 2009) monohulls
Class 5 - Multihull Sailboats - (As of 2009) cats, tris
Size Filter - All boats must launch from above the
high water mark without outside assistance.
This Challenge is an expediton style adventure race for kayaks, canoes, and small sailboats. The time limit is 8 days but the winners will do it in 3 to 4 days. The distance is 260 to 300 miles depending on your course.

3/6/2005 1:54:00 AMAwsome morning on the outside and I even out paced the sail boats but when teh wind picked up they smoked me.Should have been inside for current. Still an awesome day and I'm not far off my desired pace. Oh and no Butt sores this year. Horay!!!

3/8/2005 7:43:00 PM8:00 this morning brought 2-3 foot beam seas washing over me with 25 knot wind. Gave adventure to adventure racing. Came in against tide. Will prepare better next year. Will head to ranger station in a.m. I haven't seen a WaterTriber since Sunday morning.

3/10/2005 10:33:00 PMWilderness waterway was brutal in the long east/west canals that went forever with no southward progress. I though I must be the only person left out here. But then in Whitewater Bay I caught up with five others. Hurray, my first day paddling with others. I can't wait for the breakfast bar.

Good folks, wind at my back & not in my face, no sores on my butt & didn't have to spend th enight in my boat again. I played and surfed the whole way across.
