Class 4 - Small Sailboats - (2001-2008) monohulls, cats, tris
Class 4 - Monohull Sailboats - (As of 2009) monohulls
Class 5 - Multihull Sailboats - (As of 2009) cats, tris
Size Filter - All boats must launch from above the
high water mark without outside assistance.
This Challenge is an expediton style adventure race for kayaks, canoes, and small sailboats. The time limit is 8 days but the winners will do it in 3 to 4 days. The distance is 260 to 300 miles depending on your course.

Boat Description: Kruger Cruiser with double Balogh sail rig, veteran of 3 challenges -- Less of a sailboat than the SeaPearl RR used in 2003, but much faster in the calms and with the additional benefit of an experienced partner to share decisions and encouragement.

3/9/2004 12:59:00 PMWe had another great sail from Flamingo, at least that's what RidgeRunner says, I slept most of the way. The wind died about 5 miles from the finish giving us a chance to demonstrate the strength of our sailing canoe, its ability to be paddled. GreyBeard
