Size Filter - All boats must launch from above the
high water mark without outside assistance.
 		This Challenge is an expediton style adventure race for small boats. The time limit is 8 days but the winners will do it in 3 to 4 days. The distance is 260 to 300 miles depending on your course.

Boat Description: Kruger Cruiser with sail and BOSS outrigger. On loan from Verlen Kruger, this canoe has finished two previous WaterTribe Challenges and won the Mississippi River Race for Rett Research in 2001. We thank Verlen for letting us once again use #17.
Fort Desoto3/8/2003Taking the Wilderness Waterway. We were unable to do much on the water training for this Challenge this year because of the cold, frozen weather here in Michigan. So instead of training with a paddle we trained with a snow shovel and a roof with four feet of snow on it.

Flamingo		3/13/2003 11:45:00 AMSaw a shark, lots of dolphins, plenty of little lizzards. Having a great time! Tired today, avoiding sunny hours. Everglades at night is a trip! Great team mate! Lots of pictures enjoying the view. Need a cheeseburger!!

Key Largo		3/14/2003 6:20:00 PMGreat trip. The Florida sun and heat just about melted us. The canoe was very comfortable. Moved great with the right bow person. Let's make this last challenge 300 miles longer!
